to Tulip Time!

10:08 pm  Enter Holland, Michigan, tulip capital of
        America, land of Rush Limbaugh, the annual site of Tulip Time,
        that cornucopia of Dutch-heritage celebration.

 

The day began with the "Taste of Holland" breakfast and historical presentation. We learned about Reverend Albertus C. Van Raalte. He founded Holland. He was a God-fearin' man. Look at all the old people.

Shortly thereafter, we arrived at Dutch Village. Franny decides this trip needs some adventure and starts her own action movie.

"Mama, can't Ik have some more krakelingen?"

Power starts to go to Kari and Kate's heads. Franny protests her new position as Court Jester.

It's a girl!

Attraction number 12: little church. Abortion is wrong. Technically, that last statement is illegal under the Telecommunications Act, but we assume our censors would approve.

Attraction 19: petting zoo central.

The goats are nice, but spittier.

We swear, we didn't turn the children to brass.

They don't call him the discoverer of electricity for nuthin'. Mwroowwwr.

Tension mounts senselessly.
